Scripture Memory Challenge- We have embarked on a year-long challenge for the entire congregation to put scripture to memory. We often encourage our children to memorize scriptures as a part of contests to reward their efforts. Somewhere along the way, we lose the motivation to put scripture to memory, so this year, we issue this challenge. Each month we will provide 1 scripture for each week of the month. Start small and see how much you can do!
“These words will I hide in my heart, that I may not sin against you.” Psalms 119:11 Why memorize Scripture: I know of no other single practice in the Christian life more rewarding, practically speaking than memorizing scripture. Chuck Swindoll

Work at it every day.
Keep your current memory verse posted in several places where you will see it.
Repeat it out loud and as often as possible, review it, use it!
Read the verse in its context and study it, learning the reference as part of the verse.
Figure out some homemade mnemonics and metal associations.
